Blue Raw Silk Ruana/Cape with Clasp

This one of a kind Ruana- a shawl-like garment similar to a poncho, but unlike a poncho has a slit down the front with an optional clasp. Because of this slit, you can throw one side over your should for a different look. You can wear this over a light tank top in summer, or over a layer or 2 in cooler seasons for extra warmth and beauty. Printed with leaves of horse chestnut, catalpa, redbud, black walnut, and maples, with a generous amount of cosmos flowers from my garden.  The blue background comes from Logwood, a tree native to Central America in the legume family, that is sustainably harvested for it’s dyes.
